Schneider Electric has an opportunity for Fabrication Technician/Machinist!

This Fabrication Technician/Machinist position will be within our West Chester, OH facilities, led by our Ecofit Modernization team with a 40-hour standard work week and potential overtime. All tools, assets and equipment needed to succeed in this role are provided to you in addition to a dedicated and upbeat team that is committed to onboarding and developing your talent in this role. As an Fabrication Technician, a typical day for you might include:

  • Inspection of materials and/or parts for conformance with Schneider Electric and industry procedures, specifications and quality standards.
  • \n
  • Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
  • \n
  • Assisting in the design and fabrication of prototypes, products and product enhancements.
  • \n
  • Conducts quality inspections of finished product, parts, units, or processes to ensure quality standards are met. Evaluates and initiates resolution of non-conformance of material and/or product.
  • \n
  • Perform work with a focus on safety and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • \n
  • Utilize a wide variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment to perform your tasks.
  • \n
  • Setting up metalwork machinery including waterjet, turret punch, drill presses, brakes, shears.
  • \n
  • Fabricating and constructing metal and copper components.
  • \n
  • Grinding and finishing completed products.
  • \n

  • A high school diploma; technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred

  • Experience with metal fabrication and/or machining (including experience with CNC machines)

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
  • \n
  • Knowledge of basic Mathematics
  • \n
  • Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
  • \n
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
