Sodexo Campus Dining is hiring an  Executive Chef 2 for the University of Jamestown, in  Jamestown, North Dakota, and is 30 minutes from Bismark and from Fargo . Jamestown is a family friendly community with activities for every age - from museums to hiking and biking trails .

 

Our fast-paced kitchen team manages all of our Resident Dining Meals, Catering and Concessions. With Summer Camps and Conferences, we are a year-round account with room to grow revenue. If you are driven by safety, quality, maintaining standards, and managing food and labaor costs effectively, this is a perfect fit for you

Is this the right opportunity for you? The successful candidate will:

 

• Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
• Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
• Have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
• Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
• Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
• Manage the daily food production including production planning and controls
• Ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality
• Manage food costing, controls and compliance
• Have high expectations for customer service and quality of food
• Have knowledge of special diets and allergens

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
