The Epic Willow Ambulatory Project Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the Epic Willow Ambulatory module within outpatient pharmacy settings. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting end-users in the successful deployment of Epic Willow Ambulatory. The Project Manager will work closely with clinical pharmacists, IT staff, Epic analysts, and healthcare leadership to ensure the system is configured effectively to support safe and efficient medication management in ambulatory care settings. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Implementation Lead the planning, execution, and go-live support for the Epic Willow Ambulatory implementation . Develop and manage project plans, milestones, and timelines in coordination with key stakeholders. Facilitate build, testing, training, and deployment phases of the project. Ensure Epic Willow Ambulatory aligns with organizational workflows, clinical needs, and pharmacy operations . Stakeholder & Team Coordination Collaborate with pharmacists, IT teams, physicians, nurses, and operational leaders to configure and optimize the system. Act as a liaison between IT and pharmacy teams to ensure workflow integration. Conduct regular status meetings and updates with stakeholders. System Optimization & Compliance Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, medication safety standards, and healthcare IT policies . Identify and implement enhancements, optimizations, and system upgrades based on user feedback. Troubleshoot technical and workflow issues related to Epic Willow Ambulatory. Training & Support Work with Epic trainers and super users to develop training materials. Support end-user adoption through education, troubleshooting, and post-go-live support. Provide ongoing guidance and best practices for pharmacy and clinical staff. Budget & Resource Management Oversee project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals . Track purchase orders (POs) and vendor contracts related to the Epic implementation. Qualifications & Skills Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field Epic Willow Ambulatory Certification PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. Experience: 5+ years of experience in Epic implementation, healthcare IT, or pharmacy informatics . Experience managing Epic Willow or Epic Willow Ambulatory projects . Knowledge of medication workflows in ambulatory care settings . Experience with Willow Inventory. Technical & Leadership Skills: Strong understanding of Epic Willow Ambulatory functionality . Experience with clinical decision support (CDS), formulary management, and pharmacy automation . Ability to lead large-scale projects and manage multidisciplinary teams.
