Come see how to Be Better at S-E-A!Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:Conduct electrical engineering based field investigations and analyze fires/failures/accidents involving all types of electrical equipment and wiring systemsPerform electrical evaluations of failed and damaged components in commercial, manufacturing, and residential facilities to determine the root cause of the failure including lightning damage, electrocutions, electrically related fires, appliance and consumer product failure evaluation, commercial equipment failures and damage evaluation of other power or electrical systems.Apply electrical engineering principles in accordance with industry standards to investigation analysisConduct unbiased field and lab investigations for various types of clientsDeliver professional presentations, develop client relationships and promote self to client groupsProvide technical findings and conclusions in laymen's terms both verbally and in writingSupport conclusions by appropriate testimony in legal proceedingsPosition Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required, master's degree preferred- not requiredMust have P.E. registration through testingSeven (7) years of engineering experienceBackground in power systems, controls, and NEC knowledge helpfulInterest in manufacturing failures and fire-related investigationsExcellent oral and writing skillsPublic speaking experience a plusExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsPhysical Requirements:25% travelAbility to lift 80 lbs.Ability to remove large and or heavy artifacts from fire scenesAbility to carry equipment (shovels, camera, evidence case, etc.) up flights of stairsAbility to shovel out fires and lift fire debris in conjunction with investigations, for up to 3 to 4 hours at a timeAbility to maneuver in and around buildings and structures and climb laddersAbility to drive to site locations and fly on airplanesBenefits:Extensive forensic trainingMedical, dental vision coverage401(k) with company matchPaid vacation, sick days and holidaysCompany-paid STD, LTD and Life InsuranceTuition Reimbursement ProgramBonus programSEA places a strong value and priority on diversity, equity and inclusion across the company.
