Client note: Based on the needs/requests from the PMO and/or Program area the contractor may be required to be physically present in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
The primary objective of this engagement is to serve as the Lead PM for the implementation and enhancement of a Extranet site that will allow access for communication purposes.
BACKGROUND / PROBLEM STATEMENT:
The Project Manager (PM) will provide project management services to continue the implementation and enhancement of an extranet site that will allow to share information with external stakeholders. The individual will work closely with the office to manage the creation of a secure website solution for managing information and maintaining documents that are readily available to the staff counties and MCOs. Systems notices and other related information will be readily available and will increase the integrity and validity of systems operations with business partners. The individual will ensure that the defined project management methodology will be followed and will provide sound communication collaboration and management with senior management.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The PM directs administers manages and facilitates an enhancement reengineering of a business process or a developmental project. The PMs primary responsibility is to drive the entire effort from start to finish. The PM must ensure that the project is completed on schedule within the defined budget and that the final product meets the business technical and established quality requirements.
The selected contractor must be familiar with the five (5) phases along with inputs/outputs identified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) that combine to turn a project idea into a working product. The PM will need to rely on their proven experience leading projects to a successful implementation and their judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Strong interpersonal skills are required when consulting with the program area and various IT teams to define requirements and to analyze and resolve problems ensuring collaboration and agreement with recommended solutions.
