Job Description

Corporate Security Manager

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Corporate Security Manager to join our security team. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in physical security, event and executive protection programs, providing physical security awareness, and monitoring and evaluating physical threats.

Essential Functions include:

  • Managing security for CoBank corporate and other CoBank hosted events, coordinating with Events and other CoBank Teams managing the events.
  • Leading the development of all risk assessments for corporate events including executive functions.
  • Managing and overseeing the executive protection program working with Travel, Executive Admins, and others to ensure the appropriate protective measures are taken when executives travel for business purposes.
  • Creating and maintaining governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for physical security operations.
  • Managing or liaising with local management, overseeing physical security at all CoBank locations including badge system, camera systems, and other physical security components.
  • Managing, developing, leading, or liaising with local management overseeing, fire, tornado, active threat, and other safety drills.
  • Managing the Physical Security Threat levels including systems testing, awareness and training for all associates related to various threats and threat levels.
  • Managing CoBank's Safety Taskforce, a cross functional team focused on addressing recurring and impromptu safety topics.
  • Managing or participating in associate notifications when physical threats including weather, wildfire, building outages, etc. could impact CoBank locations or associates (including work locations, home locations, or when traveling for work).
  • Liaisons with local law enforcement where appropriate.
  • Liaisons with front desk guards (CoBank Center) and CoBank Facilities on physical security processes, procedures, coverage, incident reviews, and other physical security activities.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Completion of a reputable executive protection school (government or private), ASIS Certification as a Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or equivalent work experience required

Work Experience:

  • 8 years experience in executive protection, event security, and physical security required
  • This role requires being onsite 5 days a week outside of business travel.
  • Proven ability to maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, including under conditions of urgency in high-pressure situations.
  • Possesses analytical ability, creativity, keen attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to address unanticipated issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate at all levels.
  • Proven ability as a self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team to deliver high value protection.
  • Familiarity with video surveillance and badge access control systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Travel Requirement Details:

Occasional Travel occurs infrequently (typically, once a month or less).

About CoBank:

The typical base pay range for this role is between $108,400 - $133,280. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
