Job Description
FPS Civil is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with civil infrastructure, water/wastewater, and piping/mechanical construction experience. Knowledge of means & methods to complete these types of projects and knowledge of materials used in these types of projects is a requirement. The candidate will be assigned to a variety of jobs specific to industrial, civil infrastructure, and underground wet utility projects (water and/or wastewater).
Responsibilities:
· Oversees all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation. Ensures the requirements of customers are met; manages and oversees multiple projects simultaneously.
· Procures and leads the efforts to ensure all project documentation and requirements are met upon project award; generates RFI’s, submittals, and transmittals as needed.
· Works closely and coordinates with project superintendent(s) on schedules, material orders/deliveries, and subcontractor scheduling.
· Monitors cost budgets weekly and ensures cost spending is kept within allowed budget; performs monthly cost & revenue projections/forecasting.
· Completes all necessary paperwork, change forms, and documents any delays and/or changes to scope of work in a timely manner.
· Prepares and submits all change order requests to customers.
· Prepares and submits monthly progress billings and time & material invoices.
· Coordinates with accounting department on required invoice coding, lien waivers, and other accounting related tasks.
· Assures daily quantities are collected from the field and entered into accounting software system.
· Schedules and coordinates with inspection staff to ensure all quality control testing is performed and provides turn-over packages to customer when required.
· Maintains and/or delivers all required as-built or red-line drawings and close-out documentation required for assigned projects.
· Assures compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA safety standards.
· Maintains good working relationships with the ability to motivate others and maintain positive morale while holding people accountable.

· Proficiency with construction planning/sequencing, construction equipment & tools, means & methods, meeting productions, reading plans and specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders. True understanding on the process of constructing a job with the ability to effectively communicate this information to the project team, owners, engineers, field employees, suppliers, and subcontractors.
· Knowledge of project management processes, job costing and scheduling software required.
· Knowledge of municipality, state and/or federal laws and requirements.
· Proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
· Proficiency with Construction Specific Job Costing Software; Vista by Viewpoint is highly desired.
· Valid driver license with acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
Education / Experience:
· 4 years of equivalent work experience required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related degree program from a four-year college or university is highly desirable.
· Knowledge of Construction Estimating is highly desirable.
· Knowledge and experience with working on alternative delivery projects such as CMAR’s, JOC’s, and Design Build projects is highly desirable.
· OSHA 30-hour training is desired.
Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
· Construction office environment in heavily congested construction site locations.
· Wearing steel toe boots, hard hat, and construction safety gear required.
· Working outdoors in inclement climate.
· Some weekend and night work required depending on job requirements.
· Minimum 50 hours per week.
