We are currently bidding on a contract providing support to the Picatinny NEC in improving the functionality of the overall delivery of Information
Technology Services (ITS) and Administrative Telephone Services (ATS) on Picatinny Arsenal.

This opportunity is contingent upon a successful contract award to Oneida Technical Solutions.

Job Title: Computer Operator II

Location: Picatinny Arsenal

Clearance Required: Secret Clearance

Compliance Requirements: DOD 8140

Job Summary:

The Computer Operator II is responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of computer systems and networks within a secure environment. The role involves monitoring system performance, managing data, and ensuring the integrity and security of computer operations. The ideal candidate will possess a Secret Clearance and be compliant with DOD 8140 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Operation and Monitoring: Oversee the operation of computer systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Monitor system logs and alerts to identify and resolve issues promptly.

• Data Management: Perform data entry, processing, and backup tasks. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality by following established protocols.

• Incident Response: Respond to system errors and outages, taking corrective actions to minimize downtime and restore services as quickly as possible.

• Security Compliance: Adhere to security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information. Implement and maintain controls to safeguard data and systems.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, procedures, and incidents. Prepare reports and documentation as required.

• Collaboration: Work with other IT staff and departments to support system upgrades, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

• Training and Support: Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed. Assist in the development and delivery of training materials.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in computer operations or a related field. Experience with [specific systems or technologies] is advantageous.

• Clearance: Must possess a current Secret Clearance.

• Compliance: Must be compliant with DOD 8140 requirements.

• Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and security protocols.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
