Summary:  

As the Community Employment Advocate at The Price Center, you will play a crucial role in finding and securing employment opportunities for our individuals. Use your sales, communication, and relationship management skills to build community partnerships and promote our mission. 

Requirements:  

• Effective communication and sales skills 

• Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record 

Preferred:  

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field 

• Supervisory experience 

• CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention Training 

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities 

• 2 years in job development, sales, or relationship management roles 

Key Responsibilities:  

1. Build and Maintain Relationships:

• Develop and nurture partnerships with local businesses and community organizations 

• Promote disability awareness and advocate for employment opportunities 

• Get to know the individuals at The Price Center who are eager to be employed 

1. Job Development and Placement:

• Identify and secure job opportunities for individuals 

• Match individuals with suitable job placements based on their skills and interests 

1. Support Vocational Goals:

• Assist participants with job readiness, including resume building, interview preparation, and on-the-job training 

• Ensure individuals’ success and satisfaction in their job placements 

1. Community Engagement:

• Organize and participate in community events to promote The Price Center’s mission 

• Network with potential employers and community leaders to expand job opportunities
