As VMG continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our team. This key leadership role oversees all aspects of commercial construction projects-ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency from start to finish-while upholding VMG's commitment to excellence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities Project ManagementOversee all daily jobsite operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
Monitor and control project budgets, resources, and manpower.
Lead project startup, sequencing, and closeout activities.
Represent VMG in client, contractor, and progress meetings, fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce company safety protocols.
Ensure all employees and subcontractors adhere to OSHA and VMG safety standards.
Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly to the Safety Director.
Verify all work meets project specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and accountability for company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
Prepare and submit accurate daily job logs, weekly timesheets, and project reports.
Track and approve project-related costs, including invoices and subcontractor expenses.
Maintain complete and organized project records, schedules, and documentation.
Lead and coordinate field crews, ensuring manpower is effectively allocated.
Set clear expectations for jobsite performance and deliverables.
Conduct evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions as needed.
Promote a positive, team-oriented jobsite culture built on respect and accountability.
5+ years of experience in commercial construction supervision, preferably within HVAC, plumbing, or MEP systems.
Proven ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and daily jobsite operations.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and cost control.
OSHA 30 certification preferred; strong safety mindset required.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency with project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
