- CNC Milling - 2nd Shift*
- *Base Pay* $18 - $27 Hr. (Range is based off experience)

Designcraft is a prototype-oriented job shop helping our client companies bring new products to market. No two days are ever the same. There is a flow of new part geometries, along with a variety of materials and quantities. You will be challenged to grow your skill set daily while working amongst our team of highly skilled individuals to solve the challenges related to new product development.
Our milling department is the heart of Designcraft. Creating the parts which are used in our high-quality visual prototypes which look, feel, and function like real products. Our order size begins with a single part and scales to low volume production runs. We leverage 3, 4, and 5-axis machines to meet our fast-paced schedules with the highest quality. We serve nearly every industry and pride ourselves on our versatility and problem solving.
Common tasks include:
- Shift handoffs
- Prepping material and machine setup for metal and plastic parts
- In-process inspection at the machine
- Preventative machine maintenance
This position requires a self-starter mentality. The nature of prototyping demands project deadlines measured in days or weeks. Successful Machinists are detail oriented, organized, and have a do what it takes approach. Communication with others on the team will be integral in moving a project to completion. Your primary objective is to make sure the product meets our standards and the customer’s requirements, when it comes to form, fit, and function.

- Ability to effectively communicate with peers to positive results
- Setup and operate vertical 3, 4, and 5-axis mills without support
- Read and interpret 2D drawings with GD&T
- Experience using measuring equipment
- Working knowledge of ISO and AS9100 requirements
- Budget time effectively with simultaneous projects and deliverables
- Creativity, problem-solving skills, and a visual eye
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, and have a “do what it takes” attitude
- Mechanical aptitude to use various hand tools and shop equipment
- Computer skills: MS Office, working knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM software
*REQUIREMENTS*
- This position requires proof of U.S. Citizenship
- Due to ITAR, all employees must be “US persons” as defined by law
- Candidates must be able to lift 40lbs to shoulder height and potentially stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to understand, write, and communicate instructions in English
- A valid Driver’s License
- A High School degree or equivalent
