Class C Driver with Airbrakes - Produce Experience

Day Shift

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class C or B Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will operate different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, tankers, and flatbeds, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks with manual transmission and various configurations including refrigerated trailers, tankers, and flatbeds.
• Load and unload freight securely and efficiently, ensuring all cargo is properly secured for transport.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries in accordance with company policies.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on highways and local roads.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
• Utilize forklifts as needed for loading and unloading freight at various locations.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
• Familiarity with different types of trailers including refrigerated, tanker, and flatbed.
• Strong ability to load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
• Excellent navigation skills with a good understanding of local routes and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in maintaining logs and conducting vehicle inspections.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
