Are you a seasoned Civil Engineer with a passion for innovation and a knack for problem-solving? Do you have a background in substation site development projects? Are you ready for a new adventure? We have an exciting opportunity for you! We are offering a fantastic relocation package for a Permanent Civil Engineer position in the Utility industry. This role will give you the chance to work on groundbreaking projects, collaborate with a dynamic team, and make a significant impact on our organization.
Responsibilities:
As our Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading and managing the design and construction of electric utility substation projects.
2. Developing project plans, including defining scope, setting timelines, and allocating resources.
3. Preparing and managing budgets to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
4. Designing and implementing grounding layouts for substations.
5. Collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
6. Conducting site inspections and supervising construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
7. Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.
8. Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) certification will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on substation site development projects.
3. Proficiency in designing electric utility substations.
4. Proven experience in managing budgets and developing projects.
5. Familiarity with substation construction and grounding layouts.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
7. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
8. A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and adhering to industry regulations.
