Summary of Duties As a Child Protective Services Supervisor, you will: Supervise staff ensuring the mission of ODHS is carried out by providing services directly to children and families using cultural competency and humility, ODHS’ core values, providing excellent customer service, and carrying out administrative functions as needed. Supervise the Child Protective Services Unit of 7 – 8 employees. Ensure that staff operate within good social work practices, state and federal laws, and department policy and procedures. Provide general training, orientation, mentoring, consultation, continuous review of programs and standards which affect the quality, safety, and permanency of children's lives. Be responsible for maintaining cooperative working relationships with community partners, children, and families. Make decisions about the level and type of services provided to client families. Assist with managing temporary lodging scheduling, coverage, and monitoring as needed. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in human services or a field related to human services and two years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related human services experience. OR A bachelor’s degree unrelated to human services and completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency and two years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience in human services. OR An associate degree and three years of human services related experience, two years of which must have included lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience. OR An associate degree and completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency and two years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience in human services. Working Conditions Your work will take place in the ODHS Clackamas CW office and community . Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).
