Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Cage Cashier to join our team at Orange City Poker Room in Orange City, Florida. As Cage Cashier, you will handle a large amount of currency, cash checks, and redeem tickets, vouchers, and chips for guests.

Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

$14.00 - $14.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Handle large sums of money including validating tickets for guests, distributing cash to team members for jackpots and hand-pays, processing and verifying travelers' checks, approving and cashing checks, and cash advance services 
• Maintain an accurate count of banks
• Perform regular cash buys to Cage Supervisor
• Issue and redeem chips; process chip fills and credits
• Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures 

More about you

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Six months cash handling experience preferred: experience handling large amounts of money
• Excellent math skills including addition and subtraction
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to obtain a pari-mutuel license for the State of Florida
• Fee required if the applicant applies for a Pari-Mutuel license 
• No high school diploma or GED is required

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift or carry 30 pounds
• Ability to Stand for 6-8 hours per shift
• No restrictions for bending or lifting
