Immediate Opening: Tire Technician

At Garcia Tires, we are seeking a skilled Tire Technician to join our team. As a Tire Technician, your responsibilities will include:

1. Tire Inspection and Repair:

   • Inspect tires on client vehicles for wear, damage, and safety.
   • Perform tire repairs, including patching punctures and replacing faulty valves.
   • Install new tires and wheels as needed.

2. Maintenance Tasks:

   • Conduct tire rotations to ensure even wear.
   • Balance tires for optimal performance.
   • Follow all safety protocols while working in the shop.

3. Customer Service Excellence:

   • Provide friendly and attentive service to our customers.
   • Assist customers in selecting the right tires for their vehicles.
   • Ensure customer satisfaction by recommending appropriate tire options.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of experience as a tire technician, lube tech, or related position.
• Experience with tire alignment is a plus.
• Attention to detail and safety-conscious.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
• Excellent communication skills

Garcia Tires L.L.C. was founded by Lupe and Gloria Garcia in 1974. The company has expanded from a small one bay shop started in Chimayo New Mexico, to six locations in five different cities or towns in the Northern part of New Mexico (USA). Garcia Tires L.L.C. "The Fastest Tire in the North" (northern New Mexico that is), sells tires and automotive repair both retail and wholesale. We carry popular tire brands such as Multi-Mile, Goodyear and Kelly. The business was started in 1974 by Guadalupe L. Garcia and wife Gloria. Both were school teachers searching for a way to make a little money on the side. Little did they know that with good decision making and hard work the business would grow to where it is today. Six locations and over forty employees.

Guaddalupe Garcia was a shop teacher teaching middle school students and his degree was in industrial technology and drafting, far from a business degree. His first project started in 1974 in Chimayo New Mexico, a small community 90 miles north of Alburquerque. Using his skills as a craftsman he constructed a one bay shop that would fit two cars and a few tire racks. He then took the money in the couple's savings account and purchased the necessary hand tools and tire inventory worth $1,500. His items for sale were tires, inner tubes, and accessories such as valve stems etc.

Garcia Tires L.L.C. has grown to be one of the largest independent tire dealer in the state of New Mexico. We are commited to growth in many different ways. We are commited to intellectual growth of our employees, we provide on going training so our customers can benefit from the up-to-date tire and automotive knowledge of all of our automotive technicians. We continue to make strides in increasing our customer base with loyal and happy customers. Our intention is to service our customers through a network of tire stores that still feels just like going to that old garage around the corner.
