Why Hire an SEO Company or SEO Consultant in 2023?

It makes sense if you’ve asked yourself, “Why hire an SEO company when there are plenty of free tools online?”

While it’s true that you can learn a lot about SEO, to the point where you could do it on your own – why hire SEO experts when you can do it yourself? At the end of the day, it’s critically important to hire an SEO company, and here’s why:

You should hire an SEO company because you will get results sooner, avoid major mistakes and earn more revenue.

  • How do you measure success?
  • Tell me about some recent successes
  • What about your work is different than other SEO providers?
  • Do you focus on any grey or black hat SEO efforts?

Why hire an SEO company?

There are many reasons to hire SEO agency for your business, ranging from time management to overall return on investment (click here to read more about SEO ROI). Read on to discover why hiring an SEO company to handle your business’s SEO efforts is the best option for you in the short and long run.

Hiring an SEO company saves you money

By hiring an SEO company to increase website visibility, you actually save money. Even though it can be expensive to hire out SEO, it’s much less expensive than paying for the tools they use and try to do it yourself. So, financially it’s much cheaper for you. On top of that, it’s much cheaper when it comes to your time.

Hiring an SEO company saves you time

Again, you could try to do SEO on your own, but it can take a lot of time (especially if you’re new to the subject). A competent SEO provider will work quickly, providing you a return on your investment much faster.

You can focus on your business/the things you like

Many of our clients are smart – smart enough to figure out how to do SEO if they really wanted to. In talking with many of them, it’s clear that they’d much rather focus on different things. If it’s business-related, they’d rather focus on areas that will impact their bottom line. If it’s personal, it’s the fact that they’d rather spend their free time recovering and relaxing.

Have industry experts doing the work

SEO is a wide field, with a lot to know about. On top of that, it’s a niche that constantly changes. There are typically multiple algorithm changes from Google each year.

By hiring an SEO analyst, you will be clued into changes like this and stay ahead of the curve.

The right SEO company will already have experience in your niche

When working at an SEO agency, SEO analysts get a lot of experience working in a variety of niches. At a competency agency, you should have some amount of experience in most niches (assuming the agency doesn’t hyper focus on a specific niche).

Avoid critical mistakes

As noted by Search Engine Journal, it’s difficult to maintain a long-term track record without risk. This is why outsourcing your search engine marketing to an agency gives you the flexibility on negotiating a plan that fits your business best. You can get the most out of your budget by aligning your marketing and advertising.

And if your site does encounter a critical issue, it can quickly be fixed assuming your SEO provider has FTP access.

More visibility/branding

SEO isn’t just an effort that leads to more traffic and revenue. One of the primary benefits I’ve noticed for my partners is the increase in brand awareness over time.

In most campaigns, you’ll see the amount and frequency of brand-related searches increasing over time if a partner has been properly investing in SEO. This brand awareness pays dividends.

More revenue

At the end of the day, SEO is done to increase revenue.

With a competent SEO analyst, you’re sure to see more revenue from their efforts.

What to look for when hiring an SEO company

When looking for an SEO company to take on your business’s SEO strategy and efforts, there are a handful of things I’d look for:

  • How they build authority – Avoid any company or provider that mentions sketchy link building tactics (like forums, Blogspot links, and even guest posting)
  • How they create content – Look for a company that is extremely organized with content creation. I’d even ask for examples of content they’ve written so you can get an idea of the quality.
  • How they handle technical SEO – Assuming they’re working on your website, make sure an SEO company has developers on hand to optimize your site and fix things if the site goes down in a worst case scenario (handing over FTP access if you’re comfortable with it).
  • Make sure they are experts by asking the questions below

Questions to Ask SEO Agency
